ABOUT SUGAR HILL CREAMERy

Sugar Hill Creamery is a love affair between community and food – something all our neighbors can share and take part in. As a Black-owned business and woman-led establishment, we are dedicated to local collaborations and the finest ingredients. We serve handmade, small batch ice cream, including non-dairy and vegan ice cream options, with both seasonal and classic flavors available year-round. Many of our ice cream flavors are inspired by our Caribbean and Midwestern cultures, as well as Harlem, our neighborhood of 20 years.

We founded Sugar Hill Creamery to bring the 'sweet life' to our community, inspired by the generations of Sugar Hill residents who came before us. As longtime Harlem residents, our dream began to take shape while living on St. Nicholas Ave and 148th Street. Sugar Hill Creamery also pays homage to the historic Sugar Hill neighborhood, a beacon of Black excellence during the Harlem Renaissance and a haven for distinguished Black artists, intellectuals, and professionals in the early 20th century.

Our commitment to quality and community has earned us features on the Today Show, in the New York Times, and recognition as one of the 18 essential ice cream shops in New York City on Eater. We also offer custom cakes, birthday cakes, ice cream cakes, and corporate catering services in NYC. With gluten-free options and vegan desserts available, there's something for everyone at Sugar Hill Creamery.

For over a century, Sugar Hill and Harlem have set high bars for artistry, literature, music, and food in New York.
