Sugar Hill Creamery proudly serves a Nicaraguan and Guatemalan coffee blend with hints of chocolate and jasmin. The blend is roasted by Gotham Coffee Roasters at the Pulley Collective in Red Hook, Brooklyn. 


ICE CREAM FLAVORS

Many of Sugar Hill Creamery's flavors and menu items are seasonal and rotate on a daily basis. The following flavors can be found rotating through the dipping cases at our Mount Morris Park location (184 Lenox Avenue), our Hamilton Heights location (3629 Broadway) and our Dumbo, Brooklyn scoop counter (55 Water Street). JAZZY BELLE (n)

We twist this classic butter pecan flavor with bourbon and a dash of Ethiopian Berbere spice. With honey-glazed pecans folded in, our flavor is sure to make you rethink eating a traditional butter pecan flavor again.

Your Neck of the Woods

Enjoy this flavor that we developed for legendary American weather presenter, journalist, television personality, and author Al Roker when he visited our Broadway store to tell the story of our business. We paired a couple of his favorite things – sweet potato and cookies and cream – and folded in a graham cracker pecan crust. The flavor name is inspired by his famous catch phrase, “What’s happening in your neck of the woods.” Grab this flavor before it’s gone!

TELL IT  TO THE BLOCK (gf)

At Sugar Hill Creamery, we love cinnamon ice cream but we thought the flavor needed a bit of kick. We make honeycomb candy with New York’s favorite Mike’s Hot Honey folded in for a sweet spicy treat.

LARRY WILCOX (gf)

When we make each of our flavors we believe in using real ingredients, not imitations. The Larry Wilcox is no exception. The coolness of each spoonful comes from the actual mint leaf that we incorporate in the base. We fold in shards of chocolate for the chip. Customers have raved that our mint chip is the real deal and does not taste like toothpaste. If mint chip ice cream is your thing, it will be hard to go back to whatever brand you were eating before ours.

A$AP ROCKY ROAD (n)

Always representing Harlem, this Flacko-inspired Rocky Road ice cream is a spin on the classic flavor. It includes milk chocolate with toasted hazelnut, marshmallow, oreo cookies, and graham crackers. Having introduced this flavor to our dipping case at the beginning of 2020, it has become a favorite among first time and regular customers.

GODDESS POMONA (gf)(V)

Nothing says fall like apple. Maybe you wait for the apple cider donuts at your local farmer’s market or you buy a bushel on your weekend visit to your nearest apple orchard. Our Goddess Pomona hits all your fall apple cravings. Made with apple cider and a vegan caramel swirl, this flavor is sure to delight everyone, especially because it’s dairy-free.

DON CARTAGENA

(Only in East Harlem)

Inspired by the popular Guyaba y Queso breakfast pastry that you’ll find as you’re walking past bakeries in East Harlem, we’ve created a cream cheese ice cream base with croissants and guava sauce that turns this breakfast pastry on its head.

CHAIRPERSON OF THE BOARD

Nothing is more vanilla than Andy Griffith. The vanilla for this classic comes from Réunion Island off the coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean Our signature cream cheese-based ice cream includes layers of graham crackers and blueberry jam. It tastes like a frozen piece of blueberry cheesecake, but as an ice cream! Affectionately named “Chairperson of the Board,” it's the boss of our dipping case.

ANDY GRIFFITH

Blueberry cheesecake is rich and definitely the boss of desserts. Our signature cream cheese-based ice cream includes layers of graham crackers and blueberry jam. It’s frozen blueberry cheesecake! Now a customer favorite, this flavor has easily become the boss of our dipping case.The vanilla for this classic comes from the island, Ile Bourbon, from which the vanilla was originally sourced and not the bottle stashed directly underneath the counter (kidding of course). Ile Bourbon, now known as Reunion, lies directly off the coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. We use pastured milk and cream from Saratoga Springs to create a sweet, creamy vanilla sensation.

NUNU’S PEACH COBBLER

A juicy ripe peach screams summer and this ice cream is no different. Each spoonful includes pureed peaches with a dash of cinnamon and homemade crisp for a cobbler crunch. And, if you’re wondering who Nunu is, she’s Petrushka’s sister who inspired this flavor with one of her delicious dessert crumbles.

SWEET SOCIALISM (GF) (V)

The African island of Madagascar provides us with this single-estate dark chocolate. The result is a decadent, rich sorbet often mistaken for ice cream because of its creamy, milky texture.

THE UNICORN (G)

This birthday cake ice cream has a color palette to make any child dream of unicorns. We add homemade gluten-free vanilla cake with a chromatic punch, royal frosting, and rainbow sprinkles to our vanilla base to inspire a cake and ice cream dream.

BROWNIE SUNDAE

We compose a layered sundae with two scoops of ice cream (your choice) topped with homemade brownies, chocolate or caramel sauce, and whipped cream. Then, we repeat.

ICE CREAM SANDWICHES

Build your own ice cream sandwich from our selection of cookies and brownies and your choice of ice cream from the dipping case. 

ICE CREAM HOT CHOCOLATE

Our ice cream hot chocolate is made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate. We top it with torched marshmallow fluff and chocolate shavings.

Some say it brings them back to their youth. Others haven’t had anything like. We think you should try it and be forever changed...or teleported back to simpler times.
